Battery Slide is an adjustable mounting system for v-mount, QRC gold mount, and RED/Blueshape style battery plates. Rows of 1/4-20 threaded and pass through holes allow attachment of Rod Clamps, cheeseplates, and more. Apply firm pressure to tilt the plate in place. Loosen the thumbscrew to slide the plate up and down and also tilt. Great for adjusting counterbalance and for transitioning from studio to handheld mode.

Review:
Just ordered this and I love setting it on the rear of rails so when I use the premium rig I can lower the center of weight behind my shoulder.
It's not perfect, but it does what its intended to do.
